Vern's hair can be thin and lifeless and he would like to add some fullness and body to attract the ladies. We thought about hair extensions:

But, instead we have settled on something far more cost efficient and found all over our property:

Only a professional can apply them properly:

What do you think? Improvement or not?

You can see his next client in the background waiting for her turn. He loves to wink at the ladies.

If anyone is interested in this new fad, let us know, as we can ship these "extensions" anywhere!

Yup we have hair extensions too. Sometimes ours are woody and have thorns! The bonus is you get free home decorations with them too.

UGH! SO are OURS- 'thorny' is a good word... they're not green at all but brown and they too have points that just stick to her hair, and when I try and pull them off - they crumble in my hands and then more tiny little balls cling to her.  Not to mention the mess on my floors.  And now with all this rain we have had, they are WET to boot - YUCK!

But LAURIE... Your pictures made me chuckle and 'aprreciate' them - just a BIT!  LOL

You're so creative! I hope you put that creativity to good use - not that entertaining thousands of DK members isn't "good use" - LOL  THANKS!

Thanks, Shelly...you are good for my ego :)

OMD, I can't believe I missed this post! I did notice the photos when you added them and posted though. I love the last one, he looks so darn cute with his lip curled up and winking.
You know me...I milk any funny picture with a discussion :)

That last picture of Vern just cracks me up. You can see his goofball personality shining through. Gotta love it. Laurie, how hard are they to brush out?

Donna, They are terrible to brush out. He went to the groomer today and she said it was awful. I made sure to tip her well, so she didn't tell me to take my homeless dog and get out. He went out on the deck with his bone and he is back to having them all throughout his hair. For some reason, Fudge gets a few and Vern is just covered. He is a cute dirt magnet. My goal is to do a better job with him this week.
My DH is looking at me like I've gone over the edge Laurie!   I can't stop laughing!!!!!   Love the pictures.   Vern, I'm in love with you dood  extensions or no extensions!
Thanks, Carol. Vern was groomed today, but is back to looking scruffy 8 hours later. It is a gift he has :)

Send Vern to my house and Gavin can show him how to roll in the sticky poplar seed pod thingies all over my back yard.  This should provide an excellent base for better adhesion of the extensions.

Vern would love to spend some time with his twin, but Gavin can not teach him anymore ways to make a mess :)  I love your scientific name...sticky poplar seed pod thingies....LOL!
It's the first time I've seen extensions as a "comb-over."  Vern, you are looking mighty dude-ish!
