Toy Favritism

Ever since Huff was a baby he has  always LOVED stuffed hedgehogs:

 

A couple months ago we bought one at lowes. And a couple weeks ago we bought a TUFF PLUSH cow.

Both are in the back of the car (huff's spot). He likes to hold and squeek (in this case grunt) his hedgehog. But when he wants to rip a toy he goes to the cow.

Clancy is an equal opportunity destroyer!  He has one toy that has lasted a while and I do not know why.  My mom gave him a small, hollow, soft rubber Christmas tree (no squeaker) that is quite old.  He carries that around in his mouth and has only bitten the 'star' off the top.

I think the ones with the squeaker last longer because they are not driven to get the squeaker out.

Chloe will ruin everything except the moose that she had on her crate (she used it as a pillow) when she was younger, she would rip them apart like crazy when we were at work. So I kept going to Walgreens, they had them for $2.00!!! When they started running out of them (we always had stock) I ran all over town trying to find more but they were gone, done, no more available. SO I googled the company and she sent me 2 tigers and a moose she had left on her desk for free! I told her I had no idea what to do with my doodle if she doesn't have that with her! So I said Chloe this is THE last moose in the universe=do not destroy it or your new friend is a tiger! She has not destroyed it since Christmas time!

Myla has a red textured ball that is her favorite, she will fall aleep with it in her mouth Nobody else can come near it or she jumps up and runs after it. When it's bedtime it goes on the top of the fridge and when she gets up in the morning, she looks up there asking for it!

Hahahahaha! That must be so cute to watch (Chloe sleeping on the moose).

[Laurie, Fudge, and Vern]

Vern just destroyed a stuffed hedgehog yesterday. Fudge is not much of a stuffed animal kind of dog, but Vern loves the Go Dog Dinosaurs. They both also like to chew on their Snuggle Puppies we used to put in their crates. I am trying to save those as I consider them their first "baby" toy :)

Maybe he prefers beef to hedgehog? :)  I have rescues that will rip only certain textured puffy toys, but a different texture they like the cuddle time.

Tara loves those hedgehogs too!! She has a large and a small one and so far they are still intact!!  So  I'm VERY familiar with that grunting noise!! LOL!

Ever since he was a puppy he loved the hedgehog. I don't know what it is. I think they just really soak up his slobber really well. haha:)

Allie has never destroyed stuffed animals, BUT she does have her favorite ones. She has not quite figured out which holiday is around the corner because she is still pulling out her pumpkin and her Santa. She also has a birthday monkey she seems to really like. It is funny because I always can figure out what kind of mood she is in by the toy she pulls out to "show" us. She is too funny.

Molly has a floor full of toys ( I would say box, but hardly ever do I find the toys actually IN the box. whatever) but she probably favors her large, green, kong tennis ball the most. It squeaks and it ANNOYS me and DH...but she lovvveeees it. She falls asleep with it in her mouth and carries it everywhere. It's kind of nice because whenever we want her to go somewhere, we just pick up her ball (ie. wiggle it out from between her teeth) and walk to wherever we want Molly to go :-) It was useful when teaching her the "come" and "wait" command. We had the hardest time getting her to jump up into the truck but I finally startetd tossing her ball into the truck and TADAAAAA I have a dog that can now jump into the truck, all on her own, lol.

Huff loves that tennis ball too:) We always joke that whoever invented squeaky tennis balls is a genius and must be rather rich. hahaha:) Now, when he has a regular tennis ball, he tries to squeak it. haha:) I can see him squeezing it in his mouth. hahaha:) Sometimes, sadly enough, the squeaker always eventually stops working, after so much use. But I guess everything has to have an end haha:) We just get him another one:)
