Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi,
I just got a miniature goldendoodle and I LOVE HIM! He is a male. I really want to get a female too!

Does anyone know a good breeder who has miniature goldendoodles available?  Please message me if you do!

Don't forget to read our What to Look for in a Breeder page: http://www.doodlekisses.com/notes/What_To_Look_for_In_a_Breeder --- and a great part of the article is that at the bottom there are some excellent breeders lists to look at in addition to our Owner Recommended Breeders group right here on DK.  Be sure to look through those options in addition to personal recommendations.
No, but you are so LUCKY that you can get another one! Congrats!
Congrats on your new puppy.  As a breeder, I would recommend that you spend the next 18 months training and enjoying your new dog before you bring another one into the home.
I definitely agree with Carol.  As cute and fun as doodles can be, they are still very much dogs that require a lot of time in training.  It's hard enough to make time to thoroughly train one dog, let alone two that are the same age.  There's LOTS of time to get another.  Really get to know your current dog, his quirks, his habits, make him into an excellent canine citizen and then when you've done that, bring on #2 for more fun.  It's totally up to you of course, you might have a ton of dog experience that we don't know about.  But if you read the stories in our Puppy Madness groups and our Training group you'll see the various struggles many of us have with training.  Not because there's something wrong with doodles or our dogs, but simply because training is challenging.  Having ONE dog that pulls on leash is bad enough...two makes life really difficult.   Two dogs that jump on guests.  Two dogs that chew things up...etc...etc.  Just my two cents.

Hi, Alexa.  I have a mini goldendoodle from IL.  He's 4 years old, about 35 lbs. and the best dog in the world.  The breeder, worked with me to pick out the right puppy for me and shipped him from Chicago to Providence, RI (about 2 hrs).  He is just perfect for me (my first dog).  He's smart, energetic, yet with an almost zenlike calm.  Affectionate, wants to help, funny.  What more can I say?  If you have any questions, just ask.  Good luck on your search.  I just want to add, a good dog requires a LOT of consistent training - you get what you put into it.  I wouldn't get another dog until the first one is well trained.  I live alone and have lots of time to devote to Angus, and it has paid off.
