Grooming on my own.

This is before the BIG shave down and grooming session I had for Grayson...

And this is after...I am feeling better and better about it.  And it is amazing to me to see what a difference about 10 pounds of hair can make, LOL!!!

I am biased, but I think he is so handsome!!!

I love how his coat is dark gray around his neck and then fades to a light gray around his feet.  that is so cool.

Did he have such colors as a pup?

I know you used a razor on his body - did you use scissors around his face?  How did you figure out how to cut around the face?  i think the body part would be pretty easy - but i don't have the faintest ideal - how to cut around the eyes and such

I am very impressed by your haircutting skills - but I have to admit - i love the picture - of him with all his long hair. its just the right amount of waves and fluffiness.  he is a good looking dog

I wonder...has anyone every weighed the fur they trim/shave off their doodle? I sure have seen huge piles in pictures!

2.5 hours isn't too bad!! I had visions of hours and hours and hours if I were attempting this. You did an excellent job. I wonder if you could build a table... even using saw horses and just building your own top. How much does Grayson weight?

He looks great and I am glad you enjoyed the experience also.  THe more you do it, the more you will come to enjoy grooming almost as much as he does.  The poodle in them makes them love to be groomed and the one-on-one attention from the person they love most.
