I've only had a couple long-living dogs my whole life so I can't say I'm too familiar with dog vomit...which I suppose is a good thing!
But 3 times in the last week Bernie (8 months) has thrown up, and each time it was nearly identical to the food he ate for dinner. The kibble was still whole, slightly swollen from taking on liquid, but surprisingly identifiable.
The first two times it was probably a couple hours after he ate, and both times we were at someone's house so there was more stimulation than usual - I figured it was excited puppy tummy.
But early this morning he threw up again, and this was 12 hours after he ate. Still looked like his dinner.
He's not acting strange, his stool is normal, his appetite is normal.
He eats Wellness kibble mixed with Avoderm canned and a little chicken broth.
I'm just wondering if 1. the food looking undigested is normal for dogs and 2. if there are any natural upset stomach remedies?

He does eat very quickly and finishes everything... he would eat till he dropped if he had the chance I'm sure! I don't think he's eating too much either as he still acts hungry once he's done and doesn't gain any weight. I do not feed him any more than the recommended amounts for his size/activity level.
Just talked to the vet... she said it could be tied to his issues with the soft stools and just having a sensitive GI tract. For now try giving him a Pepcid AC at night and see if that works, if not bring him in. Also for his next food if this one doesn't start working try grain free.... so still not really sure what causes all of this! She didn't think the Perfect Form supplement would upset him to make him vomit... she did mention Bilious Vomiting Syndrome? but that is usually treated with diet and Pepcid as well. One of my parents dogs always used to vomit and was put on Pecid and it has worked like a charm for her (husky/german shepherd/rottweiler mix). I don't really feel comfortable medicating all the time with Pepcid since I never do know when he will throw up and it was never this frequent in the past, and don't want to medicate if it's not needed. Any one else ever treat with Pecid or have any thoughts about it?
