Tornadoes in Sacramento, snow at Lake Tahoe, chains on Hwy. 50 and 80 - and this is JUNE!

Wow, the weather is sure strange.  There have been tornadoes in the Sacramento area (Yuma county), there is snow in the mountains, and chains are required on both 50 and 80 - hard to believe!  All the lakes are full and we have had 140% of rain this year.  Wonder if there are any more surprises in store this summer.

It was 98 degrees in North Carolina today!  I think WE are having summer.

It's bloody hot here for this time of year. We, of all states, had tornado warnings, and there was a tornado in Massachusetts with several deaths. The weather is not only strange it's been deadly.

Lynda, we had snow in the foothills today here in Southern Oregon too!!  I had to get my flannel lined jeans back out of storage for the first day of JUNE!!!  It's crazy!!

Summer hasn't arrived in Ireland yet, though no surprises here!  I'm still putting on the heating in the eveings though there has been very litle rain so that's new.  This week- end the temerature is due to rise so perhaps I might just be able to wear something Summery.  It's a Bank Holiday here so we are going to a house in the west of Ireland where we are partying with ten friends at the Yacht Club Summer event  My job is to make breakfast on Sunday morning so I've made the Granola, got the juices and local strawberries and some yoghurts.  For the ones who want the traditional Irish Breakfast I have the Suausages, Rashers and Puddings (all local and organic)  We will party late into Sunday morning and breakfast will be more likely a brunch event. 

One of the good things about Ireland is that we don't get those weather and earth extreme events. I do hope it all settles down in the US and that no more lives are lost. You have had some terrrible storms which look seriously frightening.

I agree the weather has been freaky all over the place!!!...I am hoping that here in Florida we do not become the next place to have problems.  We are entering Hurricane season as of yesterday.  the big problem is we have not had our usual thunderstorms everyday, and that is not good.  the old timers here say that if we don't get them, the hurricanes will be here in the coming months.  I am sure hoping we don't.  We didn't have any for 20 yrs here, but then we had 4 in a months time...None since then, and that was 5 yrs ago...I just finished getting all our hyrricane supplies checked and up to date...I am dreading it....I guess that is the price we pay for our nice weather when you guys have all that winter snow and ice, but.....

Getting ready to start dumping again here in SF today so look for it to turn to snow later this evening for ya!  I heard Squaw or Heavenly was open last weekend...crazy!!!
