After literally months of torrential rainfall, we have finally had over a week of beautiful (although wicked hot) weather.  Finally, for the first time,  yesterday when I walked across the yard I didn't squish or step in any mud ...... so I immediately let the girls out to play.  Mind you, the have not been outside off leash since probably January when it snowed and the ground was frozen.  Our yard has just been a swamp.  What did they do ........ They fought with each other for about 30 seconds and then grabbed a big chunk of dead grass and went and layed down in the shade and proceeded to eat it.  I could not get them to stop eating the grass.  I was worried that the nasty clumps of dried up grass would make them sick so back in the house they came.  Today we will finally be able to get out and clean up from where we have be mowing in the mud for the last couple month and regain control of the jungle and hopefully they will have their yard back.

Yes, in the NW we FINALLY got a dry 2 days in a row.  DH took doodle & lagotto truffle hunting & I was able to take my girls to the park.  I was out there for about 30 mins and I started to feel it, the never forgetting feel, the back of my neck, my arms, the SUN BURN.  Thankfully the girls had sun block on, I did not....oops!  BUT I am so thankful and greatful for the sunshine.  Sorry Joanne for the rain or hail....I will send some sun your way!

Aww, It has stopped and the sun is OUT AGAIN  :)   That was quick.  A good summer rain this time.

Glad you used sunblock for the girls.

Glad someone had their yard back, we had ours but then it was time to repair doggie brown spots and new grass seed wtered a few times a day so no doodle time out there, they had to go for walks instead. I hope the grass grows so they can eat it!!!

Yep for us too our backyard has finally dried up so now Wilson can start having his friends over !!! And no more squishy walks in the back yard  (for me to check to see how the grass in the back is )   Wilson did start to eat the grass from my neighbors fence side and got sick this was right after neighbors had the Spring Green Lawn Guy come.

He is fine now and is loving the yard again !!!

It is a beautiful sunny day. May I blame you for this gorgeous day too?   :)     Thank You for the pretty day.
That I will take credit for.  If it makes you feel better, we did have a storm that included rain, lightening and thunder over night.  Didn't ruin the yard though.  They were still able to get out for a little bit this afternoon.
