Favoring Front Right Paw

Came home from grocery shopping and hubby says Riley has a sore arm (paw!). He was only romping in the back yard with the other 2 doods and I can't figure out what is bothering it. Hubby said there was a lot of "stuff" in his paw he took out (grass, sticks, etc.....). He has been limping ever since. I soaked it in salt water and he let me look closely in between the pads. One pad is a bit warm and maybe a bit swollen. I can't see any prickles or anything...do you think he might have been stung by something? Feel so bad for him :(

This time of year there are so many things that can affect the paws! Do you have foxtails in your area? They can be very bad and work their way under the skin so they can no longer be seen. Or like you said, it may have been a sting of some sort. Or maybe he was strained a muscle in his leg from playing? How is he doing today? I hate it when my babies are hurting and I don't know who to fix it!! :(

I suppose anything is possible. I'd keep an eye on it overnight and hope that by tomorrow it's better. But if he's still limping I guess you need to have it looked at.
