Well we did it, chose the breeder, puppies were born on Memorial Day and now the fun begins...

Thank you all for your help and guidance!  We chose a breeder and not sure if I am aloud to say who it was out of the 4 we had on our list.  The puppies were born on Memorial Day and they will be released on July 31-August 3 which is awesome! 

 

We are extremely excited and cannot wait!

 

Now the fun begins and would love to get feedback or lists from folks on what they bought in order to get ready!

Welcome, you are at the begining of a very exciting journey, to start with I think you should join some of the groups here.  'Waiting for new puppies'  is one of the groups that I frequent as I wait for my puppy which I will be collecting on 22nd June.  It's a really exciting time and you will learn lots here on DK.  I would say check in here frequently, post questions and read lots.  Finding out where the best Puppy classes are  and which local Vet is best will be important.  Also checking out the various Vet insurance options which can prove very important will be worth investigating.  You can basically spend lots of money before hand but really you only need a crate, some bedding,  lots of newspaper, a leash and collar, perhaps a Snuggle Puppy toy which you can send to the breeder to scent mark before you collect your puppy and some Kibble.  

Ps I didn't take my own advice and have enough toys and stuff to open a pet store the size of a small country at this stage!

In addition to Nicky's suggestion of the "Waiting for new puppies" group, you may want to join the "Puppy Madness" group.  I'm sure as you cruise through the information in those two areas, you'll find your lists of necessary items.  This is an exciting time.  Enjoy every minute, as it goes by so quickly!

Congratulations! The waiting is the hardest part! Do you know if it will be a girl or a boy yet? Have you chosen a name? I'm sure you're already making lists, just as I was at your stage. That is so exciting for you we are also awaiting the arrival of our second labradoodle he is currently 4 weeks old and we can pick him up on about 7th July - The wonderful breeder luckily posts photos on her website each week so we can see his progress - hope you get to enjoy the same it really is exciting to see each week.
