I saw many many things that I never thought that existed today.
Well, I was in Ohio, doing the Doodle train duty.
And while I was driving Rt 62, between Columbiana and Canton OH, guess what I saw?
A CAMEL farm!! Yes, Camels with one hump and camels with two humps were grazing grass !!
I need your help, especially people in Ohio....
What does Camel do?
Why do people raise them and have them in their farm?
Do they work like horses?
Do people ride them?
I hope people don't eat them......

Kyoko,
The Wilds is very close to you in Pitts. I've added some of my personal photos of the conservation. I think you would enjoy a day here.
Hope you go. Let me know

http://www.doodlekisses.com/photo/albums/nothing-to-do-with-doodlesSome people breed camels for their fiber (hair). My mom breeds alpacas and I am an unpaid farm hand :-) Camels are in the same family as alpacas. Vicunas, alpacas, llamas, guanacos, and camels are all members of the "camelid" family. They are all used for their fiber which is woven or processed for high-end fashion.
They make outsiders of OHIO say "What is a camel doing in OHIO?"
We are a clever bunch!
;o)
