Huff is acting a little bit different since he started the pain pills, Tramadol. It is like he is really really happy for every little thing now. I was talking to him and he started wagging his tail which he doesn't usually do. He doesn't wag his tail to the people he sees all the time, everyday. He mostly wags his tail at the people he doesn't see all the time. Now he wags his tail pretty much constantly. Do dogs usually get loopy like this from pain pills? It is actually kind of funny...

HI Taylor,Yes Tramadol does make the dogs a little loopy.I have a15 yr. golden who is on 2 50mg. tabs twice a day and I find she gets loopy and happy She has osteoarthitis in her back legs ,before she started taking it she was falling alot now she trts running with my 19 mth doodle and trys to keep up.Once Huff has been on it for a while(if need be) he will get used to it and not be as loopy.Selma Seery
I am glad to hear she is better now. I love golden retrievers too:) He doesn't need to be on it for very long. I actually think he doesn't need it anymore.
