I have posted this in a couple other spots, but the more I read it seems like there might be a food connection at least in treatment. And you all seem to be so smart and supportive that I thought I would post it hear. I am so worried. I'd appreciated any input.

My sweet 4 year old dood, Sunny, has been limping on and off for several months.

We have done xrays that were inconclusive. Vets were thinking that it might be a partial cruciate tear. But Sunny's half brother (same dad) died from Immune mediated arthritis which manifested itself originally with a limp.

Anyway, long story short, I am terrified that this may be what Sunny has. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!

Fantastic news
Fantastic news! Sunny has a torn cruciate. I know it doesn't sound like good news, but I am over the moon. It means she doesn't have the immune mediated arthritis. It is going to be a long summer, but my sweet girl will be okay. She will be celebrating her fourth birthday tomorrow on the oprating table. Thank you for all of your support.

Glad to hear your relatively good news : )
I'm glad, too!
Our Springer suffered a torn CCL.  You can do this!  I used little children socks on the foot to keep the bandages clean.  When we took him out to potty. I put a dog poop bag on over the clean sock and under a second sock.  This kept the bandage dry too!
Great idea, thanks! She is home tonight and doing pretty well. She just looks so darn pathetic.
Michelle, the meds made Gordie seriously constipated and he burst one of his anal glands when he finally went.  He also would not eat or drink and we had to give him chicken and rice, and water with broth in it.  I am not telling you this to alarm you, just to let you know that the onset of recuperation can be a bit difficult.  He (and we) survived and he is fully recovered.
This is just wonderful news! I am so grateful to hear that you will be seeing Sunny recovering completely.
That's wonderful news. I am very happy for you and of course Sunny :-)
Hoping for the very best diagnosis and outcome possible!
What a relief!! Thanks for the update and the best bad news ever!! Hope her cruciate heals quickly and without any further problems!
Glad to hear it was just a tear!! I hate when they don't feel good and give you that super pitiful look!! I am sure Sunny will milk it as long as possible!! Good luck on the recovery!!
She is doing pretty well. Thanks for all your good wishes
