We have had dogs for the last 15 years - mini doxies and a yellow lab (of course this is not counting the dogs we grew up with ☺) and none of them has really watched TV. Bear will glance at it if there is any kind of bird on, but Molly will actually watch the TV for up to 15 minutes. Cracks me up. She especially likes animal planet, but she also enjoys the news. I just may have to find her a doodle remote HA
Connie, that is so cute. I used to have a Yorkie that would bark if she saw a dog on TV and than start watching the show. Cali's favorite were the AKC Dog Shows. She would not bark at all and just watch the whole competition.
Guinness isn't a TV watcher, but Murphy loves any shows with animals on them. He'll sit and stare at the screen through an entire Dog Whisperer show (and he doesn't mind the reruns).
Vern and Fudge both will watch TV if there is an animal on. It is hysterical. They tilt their heads back and forth and move closer to the TV when something catches their eye. We had to stop watching a movie (cannot remember the name) because Vern would not stop growling and barking at the dogs in the show.
Our Last dog Deja a Flat Coated Retriever liked watching animals on TV. if there was Video of another Flat Coat- She got really excited & would jump up on the TV ledge with her front paws for a Closer view.
Trixie likes to watch Dogs on TV. here she is at about 3.5 months watching Marmaduke.
Don't they know that sitting (er - standing) too close to the TV will ruin their eyes and they'll have to get glasses? At least that's what my mother used to tell me...
