OK...my Les Pouches brush, shampoo & conditioner have arrived.  Andis clippers and combs...check.  Grooming table with arm...check! 

 

Let the fun begin.

 

This past week my order from Kemp at Doodle Country  for Les Pouches product arrived, also, I go my clippers and table.  Before that, I have been practicing scissor cutting on whatever part of Rua I could reach and she would stay still for.  I was pretty impressed with my scissor cutting skills.  I guess the past 5-1/2 years I have been watching my stylist, Christina cut my hair have paid off.  Heck...every 4 or so weeks at $130 a time has made me quite scissor happy.  I didn't even nick myself!  Christina actually gave me a pair of her old scissors!

 

Tomorrow...I am going to try a sani cut!  Wish me luck!  I have to admit I am a bit nervous.

You can do it Dori...I just did Gracie Doodle last week!!!  Just take your time and work away from the "center" and don't shave to the skin.  You will do just fine and the good part is that in that particular area nothing shows that much should you make a mistake and it looks choppy!  Good Luck...feel like taking a picture???  ha ha

Thanks for the verbal visual!  :-)  The only time I ever get a good visual is when she really has to poo and we are on our way to take care of business.  I have tried a few times (I wasn't very confident about charging in, though) but I couldn't keep her tail raised to even see where it was.  Her tail becomes a lever firmed locked in the down position when I try to check things out back there.   I suppose I should give her behind a little bath first so I don't run into anything that might catch on the clippers.  My grooming table doesn't have a tail holder!  LOL

Dori, thanks for the laugh.  I keep trying to picture a tail holding attachment for a grooming table.  Sometimes certain thoughts should not be allowed in my head, LOL.
