For a long time now we keep finding these bugs in our house. We don't know where they are coming from or what to do about them. We are open to all solutions. I tried to take a lot of pictures to help in the identification process. Just today, I saw one on my Living room chair:
Then I found one on the living room carpet. This one was a little bit less cooperative and didn't seem to want her picture taken:
I was totally grossed out when I found two of them on a guest bed:
And I certainly was not pleased to find this on my new couch. Yes, under all those covers is a new couch:
Does anyone know what these bugs are called? Are these the Doodlebugs or Lovebugs I keep hearing about?

Laurie, you got me! I was all set here with my Insect Identification Guide in hand, scrolling slowly in case it was something really hideous looking, and what do I see? OMD, I could die from the cuteness!
I would say what you have there are actually two different species of large beetle: The darker colored one may be a Fudgoptera Doodlicious, and the lighter one looks like a Vernopterus Sillidoodlus. Both harmless, and can actually be trained to perform simple tricks.
Of course, I'm no expert.
OMD that is hilarious. I just laughed outloud in my cubicle and nearly peed myself. I'm sure my co-workers think i'm insane. You are going to get me in trouble!!!
Vernopterus Sillidoodlus and Fudgoptera Doodlicious seem like harmless creatures to me. They are welcome to come infest my home!
