My LuLu is going into a foster home

My goldendoodle LuLu is going to a foster home with IDOG.  She has  been acting very strange...growling at the grandkids and me, attacking the little dogs and stalking the cat.  She will probably be leaving on Wednesday.  I am so very sad, she has been with me since she was about 11 weeks, and she will be 3 in January. I'm crushed, has this ever happened to anyone else??

Oh Carol! I am so sorry you and your family have to go through this! I can imagine the pain you feel right now! But at least you will, in time, be able to think back on tis time as a sad day that you had to rehome your dog, and not as a time that you had to rush someone to the hospital because of the dog. I think the sadness you feel will lessen as time goes on, but the memories of what (may) happen if LuLu stayed would stay with you forever. Try and hole on to the good memories of LuLu, and know we are all here for you! Prayers and best of luck to you. You ARE doing the right thing... but I know how much that must hurt!

I'm so very sorry Carol. My heart is breaking for you and your family. I know for me it would be an absolute nightmare to loose my dog. I can't even imagine the pain. Good luck with everything, I will pray that Lulu finds the right home.

Oh this is so sad for me to hear; as a breeder I have it in my contract that if an owner can not keep their dog for ANY reason they MUST return him/her to me.... Did you contact the breeder? Sorry if this has already been asked but I didnt get a chance to scroll the whole post... This devastates me.... Lemme know. I wish I were near you, I would work with her and make a strong attempt to modify her behavior... and determine the causes of it!!!

Dear Carol, I can only imagine the pain you are going through. I really am new to DK so I am not aware of any past discussions, but I will say that no one knows LuLu like you do. If you who loves her the most thinks that this is the best choice for both of you I commend you on putting her well being and the safety and well being for the other members of our family before your heart break. What a horrible place to be. I will say a prayer for LuLu to find a home that will make her happy and for you.
