Must be, I think.
I like getting involved in a series and I am fond of mysteries. Right now I'm working my way through books by Donna Leon, who writes about Commissario Brunetti. The books involve a lot of his family life and day to day life in Venice. I am quite glad I don't live there, what an inconvenient city. I visited once many, many years ago. Brunetti loves it, though : )
I am reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks - it's good, anyone else read it?
No but I heard it was good and I remeber hearing of studies using her cell line.
I'm reading "The Help" by Kathryn Stokett, and it's very good!
Loved that book.  I read it on my iPad and when I selected it, there were two books named the same by the same author.  I kind of wondered if they were different books or just different covers.

I loved the book the Help.  I am now reading "First Daughter" by Eric Van Lustbader (author of The Bourne Deception).  It is a quick read.

I bought the latest kindle for my husband's birthday this last month.  He loves and I do too.  I am asking for one for my birthday.  Anyone out there have a preference between the Nook, Kindle or IPAD?

I have a Motorola Xoom and I like it as a reader. I prefer it to the Kindle, I had the large one. But I still like books the best.
The big advantage to books is that you can pass on one that you like to the friend who would also like it.  Can't do that with your e-reader.  Negatives - the font size.  I need larger font for my poor old eyes and all books do not come in large font.  It is nice to be able to adjust the size for reading comfort.
I got the iPad because I wanted to use it for more than just reading.  I went on a trip back east and wanted to be able to check my e-mail, show photos to family members, and read some favorite books.  The iPad is actually a computer and I think costs quite a bit more than the Nook or Kindle, but it depends on what you want it to do.
I luvvvvv my iPad!
Supernatural/fantasy? How about a little scary?  The reason I ask is that I am a real Dean Koontz fan and have read just about everything he has written, although I must say the  Odd Thomas (one of his characters) comic books (they call them something else now) are a little out of my range of interest.  There are four Odd Thomas books which I love, and a Frankenstein series which I also enjoyed.  Loved The Help and Water for Elephants.  You can get a lot of good leads at this group.
