Max my rescue/rehome was purchased at an upscale pet store in NJ but bred by a Nancy Locke of Corona, SD.....There is absolutely no information on this breeder anywhere on the internet so I am assuming the very worst....Just for clarification...Does anyone out there have a pup pf hers from SD or know anything about her and her breeding practices?
I get it. This is a website to gripe on. I get it. Everyone has their cause. Get a life. Could I turn your thoughts to the Election going on. Both candidates are both getting their family names smeared and put in the mud also. But you know what they are good people like most of us that don't deserve it.
This is a forum for people who own labradoodles and goldendoodles. We discuss issues pertaining to dogs here. We discuss our political views on political forums. There are lots of those around. It should be easy for you to find one.
You appear to be very confused. Perhaps you need to get....oh, I don't know...a life?
Oh wait ... I get it ... this is a site where people can explain how wonderful their dogs are and how much we love them and do everything we can for them and protect them from anyone who would hurt them ... Oh and some of us who have rescued our dogs from situations caused by IRRESPONSIBLE breeders ... we can discuss the issues with abuse and illness and the situations caused by people who bred our dogs for money ... caring only about the money and not where their dogs wound up or who had them ... oh and by the way they were put in shelters without a backward glance by someone who say they loved dogs but ... what they got too big, they barked too much, whatever ... but can we here talk about how well they are doing now, can we talk about the love they are getting now or the issues they've overcome? Sure we can, because IRRESPONSIBLE breeders don't come here ... this site is for people who love their dogs.
You wanted the truth and I gave it to you. I'm not a breeder if you want my personal opinion labrodoodles are ugly dogs. Go with a Golden Retriever allot better looking.

A reputable breeder, like the one I used, stays in touch with me constantly, and in the agreement I signed, I promised not to ever send my doodle to a shelter if I for some reason decided not to keep (which would never happen). You know what she wanted? She would rather take the doodle back into her home rather than a shelter? That is a responsible breeder, one that takes full responsibility for every dog he/she brings into this world. That also includes knowing what families the dog goes too and making sure that the dog will go to a good family that has thought this thing through. You know what pet stores are... impulse buys. There is no research or planning that went into the decision of getting a dog.
You're a little late, "Doctor".
Please see the link below for one of our many discussions on the problems you mention.

My doodle was rescued from a shelter; he was also originally purchased in a pet store. We thank you for your concern.
