FINDING BULLY STICKS IN CANADA -

I have been hearing from lots of DK's that the bully stick is great!   After going to many pet stores  (I don't have a Costco mbrshp) to find them, I finally asked at PetSmart and low and behold we Canadians refer to them as  "BEEF  PIZZLE" !!!    The front of the package  says  "Braided Beef Chew" - on the back of pckg. listed as Ingredient:  Beef Pizzle!  The French ingredient (though I don't speak it) says "Penis de boeuf"!!  Ew!!!!  Yikes!!  I guess I AM bilingual - not hard to figure out!!   -

Brady is having his first chomp now and thoroughly enjoying it I must say!   OMGosh....they smell putrid -  washing hands after handling is a MUST!    I wonder what his breath will smell like afterward??

I find that the smell seems to vary from brand to brand--some even advertise as odor-free. Sadie's Red Barn bully sticks don't really smell, but her Dentley braided ones do. You can also easily find them on Amazon and eBay.

I guess a bully stick by another other name....LOL!!

 

They are Tara's FAV and we buy odorless ones because you a soooo right-they can be nasty smelling!! I don't know if odorless are available in Canada. We have to buy ours on line as we can't find the odorless type locally. That might be easier than trying to get him to chew mints! :)

Yes, that's so funny because I thought Bully Sticks were some secret US delicacy : ) I just found them here and they are called Bull Pizzle Sticks or Bulls Penis to you and me.    Riley is chewing on his first one as I write and he loves it.  He is carrying it around in case he forgets where he leaves it.  He still doesn't mind though if I take it from him.  I told him to leave it and he promptly dropped it out of his mouth which I am really pleased about. I did give it back to him though!
