Can YOU Guess The Breed of this corded dog?

Downtown today I spotted this dog:

 

 

Take a guess what you think before you read on...

 

I first spotted it across the street and had a moment to ponder things before the light turned.  My brain went back and forth with guesses but as I got closer I decided on what it was and approached the owner dude asking "Is that a corded poodle?" He said YES and was super impressed so I told him I thought his dog was the wrong color to be one of the other corded breeds and again he was impressed because apparently nobody ever gets it right!.  LOL...what can I say I was really proud of my dog breed nerdiness...or maybe dorkness since nerd assumes I actually KNOW what I'm talking about.  Teeheee =)

 

What was your first and last impression before reading the answer?

I think so too Karen. In fact I think that Tara could be groomed to pass as a poodle!! When she is wet her little muzzle it pointy like a poodle face!

Here is a shaved Spud.  Last month as a matter of fact. He looks just like a poodle.

Absolutely.  This was done for his peace of mind in the heat and humidity.  My plans are to not cut him down again until next May.    He has not seen a brush in over  a year now  :)  and I do not think he ever will.

I thought it was a doodle..... I love the corded looks and I think it is very attractive, however it looks like something went wrong on this guy....... I thought about doing the cording thing for Charlie after Joanne's Spud, but the groomer said it is a LOT of work..... plus, she may be the wrong color, too...Well, not any more now after she ate her legs!!!

It is too much work for a groomer to do with many many appointments. Kyoko, it is a slow process.  Do it with me!

I would, if she can look like Spud, but I don't want her to look like this guy in the discussion pic!! White ones looks nice......What do you think about this chocolate one?

Kyoko, of all the doodle owners, I think Charlie would be the best of all of us. You are  trendy but would take really good care of her.

One downfall, you like Charlie's legs long.  That was the Worst.  Maybe though, Charlie will let you work with her legs, where Spud just can't stand leg grooming most of all.

Remember, she ate her legs..... I have to wait til it grow back..... they were so long and fluffy and pretty.....   one of the reasons to why I was growing her legs were, I wanted to cut her legs like this picture. So, I would not mind having corded legs like that corded choc. poodle in previous picture. Just not naked legs and butt like that, though.
