Just wondering if anyone has used Barkbusters in home training to help with issues for their dog.  I am considering having a trainer work with us on Krimmi's leash aggression towards other dogs when going for walks.  They charge a flat rate and guarantee it for the lifetime of the dog (in case other issues arise) It worries me that it is a franchise but on the other hand I checked out our local trainer and people seem to be happy with him.  Although it seems pretty expensive, if it works, then it will definitely be worthwhile.  I want to start and enjoy my walks with Krimmi and not constantly scan for other dogs and try to alter my route to avoid them.  They use mostly voice and body language from what I gather from my phone conversation to achieve the appropriate behaviour.  Their website has many positive referrals but again it appears very commercial which worries me.  Any thoughts even if you haven't used them.  Should I consider them?

Thanks

I really think it depends on the individual trainer who they send to you.  I have only met one of their trainers, and he seems excellent.  Friends of my daughter have used him and found him to be very effective.  If you've talked with others who have used this trainer, and they were satisfied and achieved the results they were looking for, than I would definitely talk to him.  I assume they allow you to "interview" before making a final decision.

Thanks Jane,

You are right I shouldn't worry about the "franchise" aspect of it but the individual trainer. I definitely want to talk to him before I hand over the cash.  lol
