I really like this show, and my husband does, too. The lead character is Mary Shannon, and she and her partner (whose name is Marshall) are US Marshalls in the witness protection program. They call it "WitSec," which I think is short for Witness Security?

Each episode focuses on a new witness or family coming into the program, with some continuing subplots about Mary's dysfunctional family or office/bureaucratic politics. I think the show is set in Albuquerque.

Mary is very abrupt and direct, but very human. Her male partner is usually the one trying to tone her down or encourage her to be more subtle or sensitive. It's a very cool show, and, to me, a very original take on the crime drama.

"In Plain Sight" airs on USA Network, and I think that one of the big three broadcast networks is coming out with a copycat series (on the witness protection program) this fall. There have been four seasons so far, and seasons 1, 2, and 3 are out on DVD. You can watch full episodes on the web at

Watched 2 movies this week.  "Just Go With It" with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston is about a plastic surgeon who convinces his loyal assistant to pose as his soon-to-be-divorced wife in order to cover up a careless lie he told to his much-younger girlfriend. Very cute. I give this movie 4.5 Doodles.

"Hall Pass" with Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, Christina Applegate, Jenna Fischer was a light, humorous movie about two guys, best friends, whose wives give them a one week "hall pass" to go out and have affairs. (Be careful watching this with minors - there is a hilarious nudity scene that's very graphic.) I give this one 4 Doodles.

Wow, lots of doodles.
Our current Netflix movie is Just Go With It. Glad to see it gets lots of doodles.
I wish everyone would give a one or two sentence about the substance of a movie or TV show when first introducing it. More if you like, of course.
Modern Family is a favorite.  The goofy Dad (Ty Burrell) was from Oregon, close to where I went to college. He is the brother-in-law of a friend. She suggested I watch it when it came out and I have been hooked.  I love all the characters...they are perfect for their roles.  I had liked Julie Bowen in "Boston Legal".  I have started to watch the series of "LOST". I had started that in the past and it got confusing towards the end.  I am giving it a go.
I loved Lost early on but it became too crazy for me. I did watch it til the last season, I think.

The early "LOST" was really good.  It got less engaging as time went on. I agree,F,  it became a bit crazy.

We love NetFlix "Watch Now" and have been enjoying the TV Series "Doc Martin".    The initial attraction for me was the incredible scenery - the show is filmed in Port Isaac, Cornwall, UK.    I want to LIVE there!!!!    The show is extremely entertaining .... last night we sat and watched 3 consecutive episodes!     Dexter and The Riches are two other great shows.
New favorite addiction: Head Case via Netflix
I had never heard of this show so I went to STARZ and checked it out. It looks hilarious! Thanks for the heads up on Head Case! :)
Oh it is!  She's a horrible therapist and there are several hilarious celebrity cameos each episode where they are great about making themselves look bad and poking fun at their issues (real or otherwise).
