First of all, I don't want anyone thinking I am trying to compete with Jane's gator scare yesterday. If I lived there, I would already be packing my bags. We had a salamander in the basement and I almost did (in my pants) what Stuart was doing when the gator showed up, when I saw that thing. On top of that, Jane got hit on by her Gastro doctor yesterday and I am lucky if I can get my own husband to hit on me.  Finally, if that wasn't enough, she was almost run over by a small horse/Great Dane, and I did once stop a runaway horse, but it did not happen yesterday, so this is in no way a competition. Now, with that being said, I had a very big scare yesterday too and when my husband got home he said he had the same experience.

I got up yesterday morning like I always do and since I don't drink coffee, I took the dogs out without any drink. I had on my best terry cloth robe dating back to 2004 and if you remember, I lost the belt somewhere along the way, so I used a LL Bean butterfly scarf for the belt. As usual, my shoes were not at the door, so I put on my old rubber boots and opened the door. The dogs were enjoying running around and I was walking around minding my own business when I spotted this in the bushes....please hold on to your coffee cups, because I am taking no responsibility if what you are about to see causes a heart attack:

Here is an even better angle:

Ok, I realize this does not have large teeth that can hurt you, but if you are wandering around and happen to glance down and see this motley looking thing in your bushes, one has a tendency to scream and assume it is a dead animal.  What it really happens to be is a large stuffed Polar Bear that reminded me of Vern and even more so now that is it filthy dirty.

See the resemblance?

I do not like to accuse anyone of planting this in the bushes in order to collect my life insurance, but I was suspicious. Luckily, my husband mentioned having the same reaction before I said a word about it, so I felt confident in clearing him as my number one suspect. In my opinion, that left two other culprits or perps, whichever you prefer. All my evidence seems to be pointing to one large Doodle who seems to think these same bushes are a hiding place for his toys and also his new dog bed.

Although, he may have had an accomplice. I cannot be certain.

I would love to hear what everyone thinks really happened!!

LOL, I am trying to come up with another game for us to play where you can let that competitive side run rampant. It will have to be after the weekend because I am working and having company. When you post these things and disappear, some people starting talking smack about you.

I hate when F does that "talking smack" stuff.....hee hee :) Ricki and I always try and play fair and nice...LOL! I have been thinking of a game too.
F always behaves as the refined person she is and never even heard of this. Watch out when you pick on the OL.
How dare anyone diss the very person who provided us with hours of amusement. Some people are just ingrates : )
Wow, had to look "talking smack" up. I am OOTL (out of the loop)
Sometimes I feel as if I have a giant Megaphone. I call out Donna and she comments. I call out F and she is there. F, I was minding my own business and Donna started taking sides when no one asked her to and I am sorry, but I reacted. LOL Now, she says she has a game, BUT is not going to post it yet. We depend on her for our entertainment and she is letting us down with some other plans for the weekend. What is more important than her friends here on DK?? I am laughing thinking of you looking up "talking smack." Now, here is another one to look up...if Donna doesn't post a fun game soon, I am going to open a can of whoop a** on her. ROTFL
TG for the Urban Dictionary! I do tend to see comments about me, they seem to jump off the page. And naturally I follow your posts, don't want to miss a trick!
LOL.....I see Laurie too. I guess we are drawn to our names or in your case, an initial :)

Laurie, that is no defenseless OL you are picking on. The game maybe a non issue since we are getting a visit from Maria, we are under a tropical storm, rain and wind warning, which I think may be a bit redundant since a tropical storm is rain and wind. We always lose power when there is a storm of this type. We have spent the day wind proofing the yard. BTW Given a choice between work and playing on DK, well, that's a no brainer. Now, whoop a**, is that any way for royality to talk?

Donna, I just posted a game for Ricki. I am her apprentice now...LOL :) I hope you do not lose power and the storm heads off in another direction. You know I love your games. Stay safe :) Shhhhhh, but sometimes, her Royal Highness does say bad words .
Whoa, whose side are you on. Despite all, I hope you have no trouble with the storm.
Oh Laurrie, you crack me up. I thought it was a dead rabbit at first. yuck. I'm glad it was just a toy. Vern is adorable.
