A day in the life of Daisy

Hi Everyone, Daisy here....just thought I would tell you all what a day in my life is like M-F

5:30 AM: lay in the bed while Daddy drinks his coffee and pets me and Mom showers.

6:30 AM: move to the living room while Daddy gets ready and dressed to go for our morning stroll (weather has been bad so we haven't been jogging much), and keep my eye on Mom who is making breakfast and lunches.

6:45 AM: Daddy and I go out for our morning stroll (which includes the morning potty time).

7:00 AM: We come back to get our chuck it and Daddy and I play in the back yard.

7:15 AM: Come in, drink some water and eat my breakfast than nap until it's time for Mom and me to go to work, Dad takes his shower and leaves for work.

9:00 AM: Mom and I arrive at work, I greet everyone there and then take my position under my desk in my work bed. I wait to hear the door chimes so I can greet the customers & delivery people in hopes someone brings me a cookie...I usually luck out with the Gary the paper guy, Luke the UPS man and Jackie the Fed Ex gal, they know me best and they make my day.

5:00 PM: Me and Mom leave for home, when we get there Mom gets the Chuck-it and we play in the backyard until it's time to make dinner

6:30PM: Daddy arrives home, we all eat dinner and then the evening is mine...we play, we walk, we just hang out until bed time at 10 PM

It all starts over the next day.

How does everyone else spend their Monday thru Fridays?

Hi Daisy Doodle, Sophie Bear here. I like your description of your days. I wish I could go to work with my mom too, but unfortunately she says that's not allowed. Maybe it's not so bad because she is sometimes tired and grouchy when she comes home and I have to work at cheering her up before we go out to the park. It doesn't usually take too long though.

 

In the mornings, I like to cuddle up by mom's feet. When her alarm clock goes off and she starts mumbling and groaning that's when I know the cuddles are coming. She pulls me close and starts rubbing my belly. It's so annoying how my mom smothers me so much. Sometimes I have to squirm away from her as I don't want to spoil her by letting her rub my belly too much. Once the kitty comes in and starts bossing her around I make a break for it and start playing with Winston, my new big brother. Winston is usually pretty annoyed at first but I know he loves me deep down inside as after a few minutes of my irresistable inticements he starts to play. That's when mom stumbles into the kitchen and starts brewing some funny smelling black drink that she just has to have every morning. Then she perks up and we go for our walk. Then mom feeds us and gives Winston his medicine and she gets ready for work. She always gives all three of us a kiss before she leaves and makes sure our water bowl is full.

 

We spend the day sleeping [I swear Winston and I don't engage in rambunctious play at all and I am a good girl and I never bother Penelope, who usually sleeps all the time anyway]. Halfway through the day mom comes home for a visit. She takes us out to pee and then she wolfs down her lunch and is off again. Some days mom is busy and can't come home. Those are the best days because that is when Meia comes to walk us. Meia is awesome because she brings peanut butter treats that she makes herself just for me!

 

When mom gets home from work is my faviourite time of day. That's when we go out to play. Sometimes we just go for long walks and play with the doggies we meet on the way. If the dog park isn't too busy we'll go there (boy do I love the dog park!), but mom doesn't like going in if it's really busy or there are dogs shee doesn't like there - I try really hard to pull her in but sometimes she just says no, not today. Tease! On those days we just walk around for a while and then go home and play. At least a few days a week we have play dates with Hank. He's a goldendoodle like my bro, but he's red in colour and is younger than me (although he is already twice my size, yikes!). Sometimes mom takes me to a park where her and some friends run around like goofs chasing a frisbee (sheesh, I thought dogs chased frisbees!). When they are done they let us doodles play with the frisbees too.

 

Then there are Tuesdays. Boy do I hate Tuesdays. That's when mom has to go to her obedience class to learn how communicate with me. She's learning, but seriously she needs to quit clicking that annoying thing and just speed up the treat distribution. Tonight mom was so distracted by Winston and his medicine that she completely forgot about going to obedience (sweet! good thing too because we didn't do our homework).

 

In the evenings after dinner I paly with my toys in the living room, and Eyore Winston too when he's not moping around looking so glum, meanwhile mom watches tv and plays on doodlekisses and facebook and tries to keep penelope from nipping her fingers, pressing the keys and chewing on her laptop cable. She sure is a playful and cuddly kitty. At bedtime we each get cuddles and hugs and sometimes we get brushed. Then mom nods off pretty quickly since she's usually worn out by then.

So that's a normal week in our lives. I hope you enjoyed hearing about it :)

Sophie Bear, you have a great life too...if my mom couldn't bring me to work with her she and dad said they would have to get me a sister or brother to keep me company. I already have a real sister but she was adopted by my mom's friend so we only see her once in a while, she has a place in our office. Her name is Bella, she is real cute.

I don't think any doodle on DoodleKisses has a rough life, seems like we are all loved and manage to have wonderful lives. Mom told me that your brother is one of the lucky ones, that he got "chosen" by your mom even though he was already a big boy, I thought he was quite good looking when she showed me his pictures on the computer.

Hope today you get to go to the dog park and your special friend Meia comes over with some special treats.

Hi Daisy, this is Snickers and my typical M-F is: 6:30 am wake up mom and dad make their breakfast and I take a quick dognap before mine 7 am: mom goes into the waterbox and dad “gets ready” I usually steal a sock or two, or bring them a toy to play with since what they are doing looks SO boring 7:25 my mom rushes out the door with a quick “I’m late” and kisses my snooter then it is just dad and I 7:30-10 am: Dad and I watch financial shows on CNBC and I take naps about 9:58 I load up with a lot of water because then it is WALK TIME with my dad 10-11-WALK with Dad!  Sometimes we go to the post office too, or visit my grandma and the other older people that like to pet me (I can’t jump on them they would not like it) 11-2:15 Dad makes lunch and gives me a cookie-then he gets to work at his desk and I sit at his feet and sleep I mean “help” him unless he has a meeting out of the house-then I am in charge and I sleep by the front door 2:30-Time to Play I usually helpfully bring my Dad a toy to play with since I know it is hard for him to choose which one is best. We play inside for a little while then we head outside to run around the yard and play flippy flopper 3:30 I go to the front door and stare out the window because my mom is coming home soon I JUST KNOW IT 4:30 Mom not home yet so I will take a little snooze on the entryway carpet 5:00 MOM IS HOME I can now play outside again 5:30-Dinner! 6:00 Walk with mom and dad 6:45-8: Either decompress with my nylabone in the family room while mom and dad watch people in a box OR be ever so helpful in my mom or dad’s office as they do work 8-Bedtime dad takes me for one more potty-we call it a drive by and then mom tucks me into my crate Some days when my dad is out of the house all day I go to daycare, then I go to bed ALOT earlier! I have a pretty sweet life!
