Lilly will be 4 months old on Sunday. She stayed with Dori and Rua for a few days. I just noticed that she is not biting like she was before our trip. I have to ask Dori what she did to stop her or did Lilly get all her biting out on Rua.

She is starting to look like a big girl with her new teeth coming in and the baby teeth falling out. How is everyone else doing that have puppies about the same age?

I noticed that she is playing with her toys more and will go through her toy box to find just the right one.

Our puppy Murphy is now almost eight months old. I remember being so happy to have her adult teeth replace those sharp baby teeth! :-) One word of warning - the adult teeth are much stronger so her toys don't last very long at all. She tears them apart which is typical for the second phase of teething when the adult teeth are settling in. It can get expensive plus I don't want her swallowing little bits of plastic, bubber, or cloth. Nylabone seems pretty indestructible, but that's about it! The good news is she has no interest in chewing on our things.....yet! ;-)
Hi there!  Very interesting.....Peanut just had his 16 week check up and his vet said his baby teeth weren't even loose.  In fact she said he had so much space and sometimes when that is the case the adult teeth grow in next to the baby teeth and do not push the baby teeth out.  If that happens, they have to pull the baby teeth which means going under anesthesia.  I hope that is not the case!  Peanut doesn't seem to be biting as much either and seems to respond a little more when we tell him no.

Did you get my message the other night?  I couldn't find your home phone, so I sent it to your cell but the I remembered where you live your reception is bad!  We miss Lilly!  How is our lttle Godpuppy?  LOL

I have been going to my old job after work to help out on Tues, Wed and tonight.  Last night I got home at 8:30.  Rua thought I must have been bringing Lilly home, because after she greeted me, she went to the back door and kept looking and waiting...she has never done tha to me before.

I didn't do anything on the biting.  She must have gotten it out of her system on Rua...there were a few bites...but I just do "NO BITE" and I yipped.  I was actually amazed at how little.  I did check out her teeth...they are pretty sparce!  I have 3 of Rua's milk teeth in her "jewelry" box!  I have gotten Rua used to me being able to stick my fingers in her mouth and to massage her gums...good thing to get into with Lilly so she is comfortable with that touch.

Are you doing "downs" with Lilly, still?  I can't believe how quickly she caught on to that.  I think that she probably got the toy thing from watching Rua!  Rua was and is quite good about her stuffies and other toys...she is pretty non-destructive (unless she finds a piece of paper)!

We sure miss Lilly!

and lilly misses you guys, when we go outside she walks over to the car and looks at me as if to say "hello- let's go mom and see Rua:) . yes, we are still doing the down just like you showed me. I hate being this far away- i would love to babysit rua.

I stick my fingers in lilly's mouth and massage her gums and pick at her feet and look through her hair just like a mama monkey.

take care of yourself- dont get burned out trying to do to much..been there done that . hugs

My Bailey is 15 wks. old. This teething on us people is my problem area.  She bites a lot when she plays.  She jumps when I am walking and then snags a tooth in my clothes. Sometimes when she jumps she probably just wants attention.  I have tried many of the different things suggested but many times she will just get more aggresive. The latest I am trying is to put her in time out for a few minutes gated in a room by herself.  I did this 2 times last evening and she seemed to get better, did more licking than biting. She starts obedience training next week so maybe this will help.
