Do many people on the DK site have pet insurance for their Doodle?

I am thinking about getting this for Lily.

We didn't get it when we got Duffy.  Talked about it and decided against it. Bad choice.  I'd buy it, if I were you.  Duffy was major sick in January and it cost us thousands.  It's too late for us now, we can't get him covereage.

Thank you for the comment.  This insurance sounds pretty good too.  I just feel that I should get insurance for Lily because she is such a goof.  I want to feel safe with this!  Thank You

I am thinking of Trupanion and Pet Plan, both with the $100 deducutible and 90% reimbursment. I se a lot of you have Pet Plan. Anyone have Trupanion?

Here is a website that I was looking at when deciding about insurance for Monty. I have not decided on one yet (although I should have gotten one when we brought him home), he is 19 months old now. So far we have not had major expenses at the vet, but the insurance is still on my mind. It seems that Pet Plan has very good ratings and when we do decide to get insurance for Monty, I think I'm going to go with Pet Plan.

Thank you very much for posting this site info.  This is a great way to compare when it is in front of you.  Pet Plan seems to be the one I will purchase.  When I went to this site it said sometimes your vet clinic will have a discount on some of these if you just ask them.   Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..................

Amy, I believe that if you sign up for Pet Plan on line there is a 10% discount on the premium if you put "doodle" in the promo code area. Pet Plan will also donate a certain amount to Doodle Messenger if you do so.

 

We have Pet Plan for Tara but, luckily have not needed to use it.

Yes...I have Pet Plan for Sasha too.

After doing research and talking with some friends...it was the plan that I felt was best for us.

Okay, I was looking some more into the insturance issue again and came across Healthy Paws pet insurance that's relatively new, but has very good reviews. Those of you with PetPlan: does your rate go up from year to year? Thanks!

I  have not had a renewal yet with Pet Plan but I believe it does go up annually just like people insurance.

Pet Plan sounds great. Wish it was available here in Canada.
