New Puppy!

Hello All,

We are bringing home a new addition to our family tomorrow--an 8 week old F1B goldendoodle male.  We already have a spoiled F1 labradoodle female.  I was wondering if anybody had any tips on how to introduce the two dogs...current 1.5 year old female and 8 week old male.  Or if there is anything we would be aware of or prepared for?  We have never had two dogs at a time, so this is all new to us.  Do you have separate food/water bowls?  Do they each have their own toys or will they for the most part share?  etc.  Any advice would be must appreciated!  Thanks in advance!

Definitely talk the hubby into it!  It's a little rough in the beginning because of typical puppy stuff (chewing, house training, etc)....but we can already tell that Zoey (our first dog) LOVES it!  She is so much happier already!  And, when the puppy wants to play....we don't hardly have to do a thing but supervise and watch for signs of needing to go outside...Zoey does all the rest.  Last night I told Zoey to lay down and she laid down so that she could rest her whole head on Tuckers body...all we could see of little Tucker was his rear and and tail...lol...it was too cute.  She is so gently with him...after all the training....it will be so worth it in the end!
