More "good to know" info! Thanks! :)

Izzy saw the surgeon today. Seroma's are going down but she has to wear this elbow protector for the next 2 weeks. Then, hopefully we are done. When I think about this....she was spayed which took 2 weeks to heal. The next month she had the elbow surgery. In the end this 2 week stint will have been 6 weeks plus!!! She is only 7 months and she has had to be quiet for 2 months of her young life. Training, walks ...out the window:( We are back to square one again!!! Thank goodness she is the easiest going dog I have ever had!!

Aw, poor baby! Thank goodness she's such a sweet, easygoing girl.
Re: Izzy's elbow surgery....all said and done....$3644.00 total cost....PetPlan paid $2700.00. I had $200 deductible and they paid at 80%. They paid the FULL 80%. Years ago when I had VPI with my Golden Retriever they paid 80% of what was "reasonable and customary" at Midwest prices, NOT California costs!!!! I'm happy!!!!
OK...so we are almost to the conclusion that Izzy may be allergic to fleas. I decide to change her flea meds and see if this helps. Frontline Plus does nothing for her. Her back legs are all scabby from her biting them and that is where we REALLY need hair to grow on her:) As of Aug 1st I am going to change her over to Trifexis which is flea plus heartworm. The vet said they have had good results from it. I'll keep you posted.
Django isn't feeling well. At least I don't think he is. I have an appt. with the vet at 11:00, but thought I'd check if anyone has dealt with these symptoms. He seemed fine on his morning walk, normal energy, but he threw up clear bile twice. Poop normal. But now he's very lethargic. He didn't eat his breakfast, but that's not unusual for him. He did eat his fish oil pill wrapped in a pill pocket, and he'll eat treats. But he will barely get up and walk around. He hasn't eaten anything unusual that I know about. When I tried to put my hand under him to lift him off the couch, he whimpered. He's never whimpered before. Any thoughts?

OMG! No, no ideas. That is going to be a really long hour.

So sorry Django in't feeling well.

Keep us posted Karin.....
Boy, I don't know what could be wrong... Please let us know what the vet says!
We think Alma may have allergies.  Twice a year she starts licking her paws and biting the fur off her back legs.  The vet puts her on Ketoconazole (200 mg once a day for a month).  He said if it continues we should have her tested.  Does anyone have experience with this?  I have also been looking at other forums and groups for dog allergies.
