Hey, he has been know to wash and outfit and press it under the mattress. Besides he buys a new outfit every few days. A 3-pack would be the beginning of a slippery slope : )
Ha ha.
Right now I'm reading Following Atticus. It's a very good book about a man and his dog climbing the peaks of the White Mountains in N.H. Tom Ryan (the author) also has a Facebook page called Following Atticus.  Check it out.  :)

I am going to check out the Following Atticus book.  I just finished the Art of Racing in the Rain (I know most of you probably have read this book already).  We lost our standard poodle last year and I just could not bring myself to read the book at that time.  But now was a good time and although it brought some sadness back to me, the ending was very uplifting and I thoroughly enjoy the book.

I have not read many mysteries lately and would like a mystery recommendation - anyone out there have a favority mystery writer??

I've been reading a series by Donna Leon about a detective Brunetti in Venice. It's really about day to day life in Venice, how the Venetians live and eat, detctive's family etc. The mysteries are interesting but often sort of secondary and frequently, due to corruption or other circumstances the crime is solved but there's nothing to do about it.
I have said it many times before, but I am a real Dean Koontz fan.  I finally counted up all the books of his that I have read and it is 37.  My favorites were The Darkest Evening of the Year, From the Corner of His Eye, Lightning, and the Odd Thomas books (4).  I didn't think I would like the Frankenstein series, but I did (also 4 books).   I keep finding more that I haven't read.
I am a fan of medical mysteries, read all of the books by Kathy Reichs and a couple by Tess Gerritsen.  Gerritsen's Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles mysteries feature a doctor and a police detective (both women) who work together.  I recently discovered another author, Harlan Coben, and will start collecting all of his books -- thank goodness for used bookstores!  I also read through and enjoyed PD James, Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson.
I've read almost all of PD James. Harlan Coben lives nearby and I've read a couple of his books. I like having local things mentioned but I didn't love his books. I used to read Patricia Cornwell but I gave up on her.
Christine, I also read Tess Garritsen, Harlen Cobin, and Patricia Cornwell. I stopped reading Cornwell for a while but thought I would read her newest one. I hope I like it. I can't remember if I have read anything by Kathy Reichs, so now I have a new author to explore.  Yay!
Nancy, When I find a book I like my habit is to read through everything the have written (good and not so good) when there are no more books I start to stress out, and start looking for another author.  I enjoyed most of Kathy Reichs books.  Do you have any author suggestions?
Just screwed up and lost the post!   Skip and I discovered James Doss this  summer. He writes the modern day Charlie Moon series. Charlie begins the series as a Ute tribal policeman. Doss isn't the best writer out there but his characters are quirky and he has little silly asides and twists that are fun.  Both Skip and I LOVE Nevada Barr's Anna Pigeon series (she is a National Park Ranger) and JD. Robb's in-the-future Eve Dallas series (she is a kick-a$$ cop). We also like Iris Johannson,  and J. A. Jance, and both Kellermans. None of those have medical references except one of them has a psychologist as the main character.
I've read all the Nevada Barr books. I bet you've read Tony Hillerman, if not you'd like them, I think. His detectives are Navajos.
