HOLIDAY CARD EXCHANGE 2011

Is it too early to start the 2011 Holiday Card Exchange? We started last year in November and had such a great time and response we thought we'd get it going. Anyone interested?

Sounds like fun...count me in!  Do people send custom made cards with pictures of their doodles on them or send regular cards with a doodle picture included in them?

Count me in! This will be fun! (I have never done this before and don't normally send cards to my family because we are all centrally located.)

 

Can the card be any sort of christmas card or does it have to have a photo of my doodle?

The cards can be whatever you want. However, the majority of the cards are of doodles. We get ours at Costco (50 cards for about $15) but I'm sure members of the group know of many places and some really good deals. I think the cost of postage is the biggest. Hope this helps.

Since this is completely within our control we can change "the rules" if we want. Due to the economy if 50 cards is too spendy we can make each list with 25 members and then it might work better for more members. We would have several lists so if you want you could belong to more than one list and therefore send out more cards. Any thoughts?

How do I join the group?!?!?!?!

As soon as we get around 50 people showing interest (we're at about 30 as of right now) we'll start setting up the first "Group"  You'll get the notice that the Private Group is set up and you'll have to "request membership" to join - NOBODY is ever turned away.  You will get a notice once you have "been approved" and then you go in and enter your mailing address.  Once the 1st group is full and 2nd group will be created so NOBODY will be left out.

So hang in there and I hope we can get this going real soon!  We will also be setting a deadline so everyone will have time to enter but also so we'll all have time to get our cards in the mail.
