I have my dogs on a pretty good schedule. Almost every afternoon, we go for a walk up at the park. Yesterday, we went out in the morning and just when we were about home, my tire light came on again. I knew we were stranded at the house, so in the afternoon I took them for a quick walk in the field that runs next to our yard. Apparently, Fudge did not get the memo that we would not be driving any place else for our afternoon walk. I don't remember why my car door was open, but whenever I checked on the dogs, Fudge was sitting in the car just waiting for us to leave. When I went to get the camera, of course, Vern had to jump in too, to make sure he was not being left at home alone or missing out on anything.
We are ready to go:
Maybe if I look right at her, she will know I am serious:
Let's Get this Show on the Road:
By now, Vern deserted the ship. He is a mover and a shaker and this was taking way too long. Fudge remains patient:
Hey Lady.....Get the keys, already!!!
I bet she sat in that van waiting for over an hour. She was not impressed when I told her I had things to do and we were not going for a walk. The good news was I knew she was not digging in the yard. I think I will leave my van open more often. Do you have a very patient dog too?
P.S. Please excuse the messy car. I could make some lame excuse, but this is how it usually looks with two dogs in it every day!

So cute! Good girl Fudge! Peri likes to get in the car too - because it means one of a few things:
1. we are going to grandma and grandpa's house
2. we are going somewhere super exciting like a doodle romp or to daycare
3. we are going to the vet and yes, Peri LOVES the vet
4. we are going to a different neighborhood for a walk.
Because of these exciting destinations, Peri literally leaps into the car (remember she's a mini). This morning was her spa day and we went down to the basement, I put her harness for the seatbelt on her and she literally lept into the car and starting whining she was so excited!
Soooooo cute Laurie!
Maybe you should have put the memo to Fudge and Vern In the car...letting them know there would be no trips for a walk in the park that day!
Fudge looks So sweet...and So patient...it's hard to believe she waited for a whole hour!! She's such a sweetheart!
As for Vern...well...I totally understand the not wanting to miss out on anything!
That sounds like Sasha! (smile)
I hope your car is back on the road and you are able to take those "poor doodles" out again! Lol...
Great story....and just love the pictures...
No...we didn't get to see the movie yet!! It wasn't on demand that night! We found a great one though...and will have to let you know the name...when I can rememember what it is! Lol..
Sorry that you had to get new tires...but I'm sure that Fudge and Vern are Happy about it!!
