Can anyone recommend a reliable mini goldendoodle breeder in / near NorthEast...live in Commack,NY

Does anyone know a reliable/responsible breeder who I may be able to go to in/near the NorthEast to purchase a mini/petite goldendoodle?   My family and I are looking to own one, especially after what we've read and learned about them.  I haven't had any luck finding any breeders close to Long Island,New York.  I found the cutest little mini goldendoodle via "Americas Top Breeders"...http://www.purebredbreeders.com/puppy/, however, I'm a little leary/skeptical dealing with a broker, not to mention the breeders located in South Carolina.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your response.  Does your breeder have a website?  I went to your page, and saw several pics of Jasmine and Jersey (very cute) dogs.   Reminds me of the dog I had growing up.  I used to have a white Westie when I was 5, and still have images of my dog wearing my spaghetti one night....too young to see my mothers reaction...lol.  With that, I'm looking for something a little more in a cream color...I'm also looking for a mini/petite goldendoodle....12-25 pounds.

I have been very pleased with my breeder and also aware of 2 other wonderful breeders who have minis.  I have 2 minis and they are 12 and 15.5 pounds respectively. These breeders are in Oregon and Washington, so a dog would need to be flown to you.  I have been to my breeder's place and highly recommend her.  The others I speak of are also very reputable. Hi Howard,

I would highly recommend the breeder where we got our Maggie. She is in Kentucky, but she will fly them for around $300. We chose to take the drive down from NJ to KY, we didn't want Maggie in a crate that long. http://www.libertypinesdoodles.com/

Also, have you considered rescuing? If you search for poodles on petfinder, poodle mixes, including some mini goldendoodles will pop up. You just have to search often for new listings. Good luck!

I got my goldendoodle from Huttons Precious Puppies, they are in Flemington NJ. There is also a small breeder in Congers NY. She doesn't have a webiste, sells the puppies on ebay classified. Good luck.
