Early this morning as DH was getting to take the Doods out I spotted this in our back yard....

I didn't have time to change to my Telephoto lens, so I just popped on a 2X Telephoto converter to my 40-150mm lens.  I took these from our deck...the lighting was so pretty.  The golf course that you see in the background was full of early morning mist and that's why it's so hazy.

Very nice.

Thanks Nina.

Don't ya just love nature!  Thanks for sharing.

Nature pictures are the best....wish I had the opportunity to do more of them.

Lovely and I'm so glad they were in your backyard not mine. That said I did just come in from staining half my driveway gate, part of the fencing that keeps the deer out and dogs in. I say you can only plan one job a day at this stage of life but sometimes even that's more than I get done. Don't know if we'll have many warm days left but these have been a treat. It's a pity we rarely have the camera, or right lens etc. at just the right time but these photos are proof you can do a good job with what's at hand.

Great pics!  Okay, at the risk of sounding totally stupid......what are they?  Looks like Dasher and Prancer to me :)   If they are deer they sure do grow them bigger there than in NC.

They are definitely deer....and they are actually smaller than the ones we typically see here.  Not sure if they're Dasher and Prancer, but maybe part of "Santa's 2011 crew".

F, I hear you about one job a day!  Some days even one is too many.....

Oh, what a magical moment, beautifully captured!!!

Thanks Linda....it felt magical even at that hour of the morning.

Wonderful photos!!!!   What a treat!

Thanks Carol!!!!!
