My Lola is 13 weeks and afraid of the door. It think this is why our potty training is stalled. She won't even go near it for her favorite treat! If it is open it's fine she will go through but if it is closed, she won't go near it. Any suggestions? We want her to go to the door to ring her bells. But if she is afraid of the door opening she isn't going to like ringing her bells.
The door itself. The bells don't seem to bother her. So far we have been lining up treats inside the door and leaving it partially open to get her to get close to it. She grabbed two and then she was done. We also oiled the door because it was noisy. We even smeared peanut butter all along the bottom of the inside and outside of the door! LOL. I think I am going to try to may be feed her in front of the door tonight and see how that goes. I really think this is our problem because we were working with her by the door and after a bit she ran from the door and starting peeing in our living room!
I wondered someone asked us if she was harder to train because we got her at 12 weeks. Is there any truth to that?
