KENTUCKY LAB RESCUE-A WARNING for Doodle Adopters regarding PARVO VIRUS!

There are several beautiful Doodles available for adoption through Kentucky Lab Rescue but I feel obligated to post a WARNING to potential adopters. To their credit, KLR pulls dogs from puppy mill situations and has a transport and will deliver dogs to new homes in the northeast BUT at least 2 dogs that I know of that were placed through this organization died of advanced PARVO VIRUS within days of arriving at their new homes.

PARVO VIRUS is DEADLY and runs rampant in the south so it is CRITICAL that you be aware that if you are considering adopting from this organization or any other rescue in the south that you inquire about PARVO testing and vaccinations BEFORE you adopt!

OMGoodness, these are beautiful pups. I know of a man that bought a GD puppy from a breeder in the south. After he got the pup home discovered it had parvo and they lost it. They were devastated. So, yes please do all of the checking you can before getting a new pup, from anywhere. I would just love to have Jake or Boo. It is very nice that this rescue provides transport to the NE.
