Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

In the spring I would like to get a second doodle. I am on the fence as to rather it will be a labradoodle or a goldendoodle but I know one thing for sure...I want him to be another 'heavyweight' like Max. I'm not having much luck finding a breeder (we live in FL but I am willing to travel a few states) that specifically breeds larger doodles. So...I am reaching out to you all in hopes of some guidance/ideas.

Thank you in advance!

A good place to start would be the Goldendoodles For Sale and Labradoodles for Sale Groups. As you know, we cannot give breeder recommendations here in the forum.

I apologize for my mistake. I am new here.  I am not really looking as much for the name of a breeder as an idea of how to find a breeder that has large doodles. I can see how much question was misleading though.

No apology needed. I would again start with the DK groups I mentioned above, and also look at the recommended Breeders group. Even if a breeder does not have what you are looking for, they will often steer you to someone who does. Most of the good breeders are familiar with one anothers' programs and dogs, and know who has what litters available or planned. If you see a breeder who interests you, don't be afraid to contact him/her even if you are not interested in any of their current dogs; they will be delighted to tell you of future planned litters or steer you to another breeder who may have what you want.

And be sure to read this and check any breeder you are considering against these requirements:

What to Look for in a Breeder

Develop some relationships with some good breeders in your area and go from there.  I'll bet there are some breeders of larger dogs in your area.  Doodle romps are coming up and you might meet some doodles that you really like at a romp.  Then you can go from there.  It is some ideas to start looking for the perfect doodle for you.
