I'm looking forward to catching up on all the posts I've missed as I've been so busy with the Christmas holiday.. but wanted to post a quick question.

Sorry for another poop post...

I have noticed that on or after really high activity days for Ember (like doggie day care days or having lots of exercise), it seems that her poop gets really runny/soupy. Not uncontrollable, but definitely not normal. It always resolves itself, either with a good night of sleep or with the addition of some scoops of pumpkin. It's been happening for some time now, and I just started to realize there might be a link w/her activity level. On days when she has moderate/normal activity, she's fine and everything's solid.

Ember is 6 months old and eats Wellness Super 5 Mix Puppy food.

Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Thanks so much and I hope you all had a lovely holiday!

Is Ember drinking a lot of water during the high activity? That could causing looser stool.

Yes, she does drink quite a bit of water. I didn't realize that could be connected!

I find the same thing happens with one of my dogs too.   He always poops more frequently at the dog park and its a bit looser.   I figure its the water and also contribute it to their bodies being warmed up.  (I don't know if body temp has anything to do with it or not but could be?!?!?!)

We also have this issue, as a young pup the daycare was concerned and asked us to do a stool sample. It obviously came back negative for everything.and he still is like that today. He always has 2 poops at the dog park and the second is fairly runny. We attribute it to water and body temp. He runs around like a crazed tazmanian devil, so it just seems normal to us.
