Does anyone add apple cider vinegar to their dogs food? I was just reading up on the benefits for human consumption and found out that it can be very beneficial for dogs, cats and even horses! Thanks in Advance!

Ha!!!!
I read some article that it would help with itchy skin. I told DH and he said no way-and got right on the phone to the animal hospital to confirm and they said that it would be bad on their stomach and they never heard of such a thing. Another win for DH!
Yes, I use it all the time. I add some to the dogs food and we have used it with our horses too. I have been more into researching natural remedies and preventative medicines.
Had some problems with our plumbing at our house so the repairman and I were chatting about our dogs. He and his wife home cook and believe in holistic remedies for their dogs. I haven't got a chance to read much of anything on this web site but the repairman told me to check out earthclinic.com. Here is what they say about apple cider vinegar.
I saw the title on the discussion and just had to read this. My son has lots of things that are good for you in the refrigerator and I grabbed a bottle of Apple Cider (didn't read Vinegar underneath) to put with my fiber drink. Whoa! It was hard to drink, but I guess it was good for me. Haven't tried giving it to the dogs, but I'll bet they would walk away from it.
I bet that woke you right up :)
I have always put a capful of Apple Cider vinegar in my dogs water, she has never minded and drinks her water everyday!! My breeder told me it has holistic benefits and also I heard that it wont "burn" your grass......I have never had a pee stain in our grass from our female doodle.
Hi All,
We use apple cider vinegar but not as a dietary additive. Our doodle is nearly 3 now and we have always cleaned her ears with it.Read it a long time ago and the vet also said she had heard of it.So far so good...and the smell goes away in an hour or so.
