How to cool a Doodle

Looking for suggestion . The school that we are visiting at is very warm and Charlie has lots of hair. Yesterday I had the kids sit on his mat and he lay on the tile floor. He was still warm. The heat was blowing. No, we can't change the area that we are in. I don't keep our house as warm as the school. I thought about taking a little fan. Do you have other suggestion?

I think I would take a fan....reason Charlie cannot get sick from air blowing on him and keep him on tile flooring...something cool and plenty of water. He will be fine. We live close to the coast in TX and believe me it gets hot. Furry friends all seem to do fine. I worried about this as well but found the compensate with faster panting/breathing to cool their bodies down. Our temps outside run in the upper 90's and low 100's with tons of humidity....not pleasant but humans and dogs alike get used to it. I didn't let them get overheated with exercise or running unless I knew they could jump in the pool. Take care.

Oh I forgot I used to take a container with ice cubes and let them chew on them every now and then...

Thanks so much for the great suggestions. We will try them . It looks like Charlie isn't going today, he had to have
a stick removed from between his teeth. Doodles....want can you say!

Another thought...our member KJ wrote a review in our Reviews section on the Cool Dog Bed (or something like that) -- it's a bed that stays COOL ...might buy that and use it on his visits.

The Canine Cooler Beds work great...there are even cooler collars. Bocker still loves the tile floor the best in the summer. That or the lake. Now that it's cooler, he has so much more energy.
