I was reading some of the old discussions and people we talking about what they
fed their dogs and the dogs ages. I was surprised that some were still feeding their
dogs puppy food. My vet said to start adult food after he was neutered. I think
it had something to do about puppy food causing them to grow too fast. My doodle is 8 months and I started him on adult food at 6 months old. Is this too early?
ok, I need to ask and you all are going to think I am an awful mommy, but as much as I would LOVE to have Bear on an adult food like you all have your's on. At this time, I am unable to afford it. He is currently on Iam's (large breed) in the yellow bag. I have had great luck with all my other dogs.....they all ate Iam's.
I dont know how much those bags of Iams cost, but I heard there is a Costco brand that is pretty good quality and it "may" cost around the same as the Iams. Please take into account I am not a food expert, so maybe someone else can chime in on this.
Iams has a lot of corn. Look at the price of Chiken Soup for the Dog..........great food at a good price. My dh is close to being layed off, so we will be switching to this to cut cost:)
