Fudge and Vern Need a Valentine!!

Well, it is that time of the year and the pressure is on for Fudge and Vern to find a Valentine. Everyone thinks they are a couple, because they are always together, but nope, they are both single and looking for love in all the wrong right places. Please help them find their many one true love. 

First up, is sweet Fudge. Fudge is a serious kind of girl, but has been known to cut loose if there is a ball or stick around.

She loves to outsmart her brother, so she is going to need a dog that is on the ball and can keep up with her wit and wily ways or she will make mincemeat get bored easily.  She loves a challenge. Fudge loves to take long walks in the park.  She likes to chase squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, and most anything that moves quickly. If you are fast, she could chase you. She likes to dig large holes in the yard and loves a drive in the car.  After a long day, Fudge loves to cuddle and is quite content to go to bed early and sleep in late. Fudge is a beautiful dog and depending on her haircut, likes to be called Fudge, Fifi, or Fluffernutter. Must be willing to relocate to PA.

Next up, is sweet Vern.  Vern is a lover, not a fighter. Vern likes long walks in the park and a good roll in the mud.  He is a night owl and likes to party long after his humans go to sleep. Vern is looking for a girl that is not hung up on appearances, because most of the time Vern does not appear too clean.  It you want a Metrosexual kind of guy, keep looking. He doesn't like to dress up.

Vern is fun loving, yet sensitive, and has been known to pee a little when he gets scared, so my best advice to you, is never scare him. Vern likes to dance, give bear hugs, and sloppy kisses. Must be willing to relocate to PA.  Please apply if you meet these qualifications.

'My advice to you brothers.  Hang out in the right places.  DK is quite good but it's a bit virtual for my liking.  It's good for those booty calls though cuz the girls are usually here late at night!  I have no problem attracting good looking prospective valentines when I go out for walks and when Mom brings me to the Dog Park... Dear Fudge and Vern,

Jackdoodle's mom here. JD is not moving to PA, so he is out of the running to be Fudge's Valentine. However, he did want me to pass along a few words of advice to you both.

Fudge, the best advice I can give you comes from my own human grandma: It's just as easy to fall in love with a rich man doodle as a poor man doodle. When you are young, it seems that you can be happy just chasing rabbits, digging holes, and taking long walks in the park with that special someone. But take it from me, there comes a time when a  doodette needs a little security in the financial department. Look for the doodle who can best provide you with the kind of comfort and kibble you deserve. Or as a lady named Marilyn once put it: "Men grow cold as a girl grows old, and we all lose our looks in the end; but square cut or pear-shaped these rocks don't lose their shape, diamonds are a girl's best friend." 'Nuff said!

Vern, I just know the girl doodles are going to be crawling out of the woodwork applying to be your Valentine, and they are going to say and do anything they can to win you over. Unfortunately, you cannot trust them. Once they get you, they are going to start trying to remake you. First, it will be just a little suggestion here and there about taking a bath or getting a haircut. Then it will be "Don't you dare come near me with all that mud all over you" and a mandatory spa day at the grooming salon. Before you know it, she will have you on a very short leash. So be smart and don't fall for the first pretty face that comes along. Look for the doodette whose grooming leaves something to be desired, and whose coat color is difficult to determine because of all the mud. You will be happier, I promise!

Dear Aunt Karen, We read your entire comment and you make a lot of sense to us. I would like a rich doodle, because I like to be wined and dined and pampered every so often. You are right. I need to be thinking long term. This is good stuff. Vern says no stupid girl is going to start making him dress up and heaven forbid, he ever ends up at a spa, unless they give mud baths, and then he might consider going. But, his girlfriend better know up front that he isn't washing the mud off after the mud bath. You really made him think, and he doesn't do that very often..LOL. Love, Fudge (and Vern)

Hey ya Vern! Sophie Bear here. You are just the kind of ruggedly handsome dood I've been looking for. While I'm a little lady on the inside, I do have a rough and tumble side of me. I can keep up with all the boys at the park. Like you, I love gettin dirty and keeping my fur all scruffy-like. But people say under all that scruff there's a pretty girl with pretty eyes. What do you think?

 

I'm a happy-go lucky gal, and in my books, there's never a bad time to play-even if it's the middle of the night. I love to wrestle on the living room floor, to run up and down the hallway playing 'keep away' and to get all the other dogs in the park to chase after me. I am an excellent retriever and will alway bring the ball back to my mom, but for you, I'll let you win from time to time ;-). When it's night-night time though, I'm an independant doodette, and I like my space. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a good cuddle from time to time, but there's nothing wrong with having a little balance and a little me-time to help me re-energize for more play.

Do you like the snow Vern? I am a snow bunny and love to run and play and go wild in the snow. I would love to wrestle with you on a snowy day, and I'll even lick the snow balls out of your paws.

I have a big heart, and love to jump up on everyone and give them tons of kisses. I would love nothing more than to give you kisses, lick up your eye gunk, and chew on your ears. So what do you say pal? Do you think you can handle a free spirit like me? If so, Let's be Valentines!
