Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Just got this article sent through Dogster: http://blogs.dogster.com/living-with-dogs/simone-reyes-talks-to-us-... and it reminded me of a discussion we had in yappy hour on Friday. A number of us were on chat trying to convince Dori that she needed to get a Rua tattoo to mark the beginning of the next chapter of her life. (Hmmmm maybe the new KangaRua logo??) Mind you it was easy for us liquor soaked cheerleaders to urge her on ;) I recall someone on DK (can't remember who) has paw prints tattooed on her ankle or foot. So what do you think DKers - to tattoo or not to tattoo - that is the question!

When my daughter was in college I told her that before she got a tattoo I would draw it on her with permanent ink replenishing it for a year so she could decide if she wanted on forever. She never got a tattoo or had me draw something on her. Then as I got older I thought I might want one. But as my body has begun aging less and less gracefully, I'm really glad I never got one because it would be an ugly blur now as everything is sagging!
That reminds me of the joke about the person who, years ago, got a tattoo of Tweety Bird on her butt - it now looks more like Big Bird.
Awhile back, I was working with an older lady. She said that her husband had a tattoo of an eagle on his chest......only now it looked more like a buzzard.
My son has a couple of tattoos that we were talking about recently. I said I couldn't understand why he would want to permanently disfigure his body. Hmmm. Wonder what he would say if I got some kind of a doodle tattoo. I am so tempted.
I'd love to have a tattoo of my favorite dood but at my age.... I'm afraid he would look more like a Shar Pei than a doodle.
ROFL!!!! I am sure that is not true Donna :)
I have thought about getting a tattoo but never could think of something I'd want, but for sure something sophie and winnie related would be great! I have no idea where I'd put it though. I'd put it over my heart :) but I guess that won't look as good when certain things start to get saggy.
LOL! I hadn't considered that...
What a laugher : )
It occurs to me you could put sagging to good use, not that I think you're there yet. With time a curly haired dog tattoo could be more fleece-like and a Shar Pei might morph into a Vizsla or something.
Depending on the location, if it mixed with one's own extra body hair growth, it could give it a more realistic look.
You are hysterical Sherri!!!
