To all DKers in the mid-South/Southeast, East, etc....BE SAFE today!

I don't know if you have seen the news on the weather, but the mid-South region, including Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia and a few more areas, are bracing for tornados this afternoon.

 

If you go to the Weather Channel, or anywhere else, there is a circle of white in middle-TN, where I happen to be located (and other DKers for sure).  That area of white has the greatest chance for tornados and is on high alert.  Schools are closing at noon today. 

 

I am at work, Peri is at daycare 1.5 miles from me.  Tacky is at my parents (yes, we were so scared we took him to grandma's so he wouldn't be alone).  Honestly, freaking out a bit.  They are usually pretty spot on with these reports.  I wish they would just go away!  Of course I don't want them hitting Nashville, but don't want them moving north or south either!  JUST GO AWAY! 

 

This could probably be a blog, but I wanted to get other DKers attention - everyone in the South stay safe today and tonight! 

 

UPDATE:  DH's office is closing at NOON - he is an attorney, so that's a big deal.  Thank God he is picking up dogs and going home to the basement.  My work has a basement, so we should hopefully be okay.  Fingers crossed.

Here in Ohio, Lucy and Sophie's Moms area was hit pretty hard about 2 hours ago.  I hope she checks in and also those from Indiana.

I saw a man on the news tonight. I hope he's the one who found the dog he was missing. He was afraid the dog might be in the rubble.

I hope everyone is alright. It's quite windy here in southern Ontario, and we're supposed to get hit with a storm tonight. I just drive home from a friend's house, and in just a couple of hours of rain my street was flooded! Hoping everyone affected by today's storms are doing alright...

I was complaining about the cold but I take that back, you can dress for the cold but tornadoes are whole other issue. I hope by now the warning is past and that you are all safe and sound.
