It's Limerick Time.

For those who just can't wait to rhyme
Thank goodness it's Limerick time
You may be a poet
And not even know it
So let's see those poems sublime

Last year I had a little idea that quickly grew into the War of the Limericks. It seems that Lauricki some folks have been waiting a whole year to do it again.

 
A Limerick is a kind of a witty, humorous, or nonsense poem especially one in five-line form with a strict rhyme scheme (AABBA), which is sometimes obscene with humorous intent. We'll skip the obscene and just go for the humour. The Limericks may be on any topic you choose.

 
There once was a bunch on DK
Who sat at their computer all day
Their house was a mess
And they seldom got dressed
When there was a fun game to play

And running around town shaking your caboose

Vern says hubba hubba sweet thing

and how about a little fling

Just don't get too clingy or he might say vamoose

TaraBear says there's no chance of a roll on the rug

See she can't be seen

With a Dood who's not clean

And has had pictures taken of his mug

It is clear that TaraBear has poor taste

and is pretending to not like a good chase

Vern isn't always dirty

He can really be purty

I am having trouble saying this straight-faced

TB's taste is just fine of course

But dating a dood as big as a horse

Could cause her such pain

That she must refrain

And pursue a less bone crushing different course.

Doris, it took my brain months to stop rhyming after last years Limerick War!

There once was a doodle named Knox

Who's good looks could knock off your socks

He was so cute

All the Doodettes said 'Shoot,

Wish we had such beautiful locks!"
