It's Limerick Time.

For those who just can't wait to rhyme
Thank goodness it's Limerick time
You may be a poet
And not even know it
So let's see those poems sublime

Last year I had a little idea that quickly grew into the War of the Limericks. It seems that Lauricki some folks have been waiting a whole year to do it again.

 
A Limerick is a kind of a witty, humorous, or nonsense poem especially one in five-line form with a strict rhyme scheme (AABBA), which is sometimes obscene with humorous intent. We'll skip the obscene and just go for the humour. The Limericks may be on any topic you choose.

 
There once was a bunch on DK
Who sat at their computer all day
Their house was a mess
And they seldom got dressed
When there was a fun game to play

One day Patty decided to get a puppy

Quincy Doodle made her feel oh so lucky

She plays all day and loves her eats

Her kibble, Moms shoes and all her treats

She starts school soon to become good and behaved

Learning come, sit, stay and Moms shoes will be saved

Donna or F cast a spell on me last night

I woke up with Vern twice and that ain't right

Now, vertigo is plaguing me

I'm dizzy and one finger is three

Please lift the spell and ease my plight

There is a maneuver, assuming you have Benign Positional Vertigo, where they can get the little calcified pieces that often cause this to settle down. An ENT should be able to do it. Have you had vertigo before?

Ricki and I can't think of them all

and later, I might go to the mall

We sprung forward and soon the day will get away

Who they love just oodles

But neglecting limericks should be a crime

The Saga of Laurie's Almost Demise

Some people libel another

Including their own mother

I'm talking about Laurie

And it's a sad story

It brings on the urge to quietly smother

It would be drastic

The fallout fantastic

Some would be sad

Others quite glad

I'd use a band made of elastic

Its all just a dream

A thought, just a gleam

I won't do it

Now that I've thought through it

She is after all one of our DK team

l will remember the rule of thumb

To not harm another who may act dumb

I'll act like a queen

Be above being mean

And maybe respect my way will come
