UPDATE- SOPHIE IS GETTING HER SURGERY! AND YOU HELPED DO THIS! THANK YOU ALL!
HOMELESS GD NEEDS OUR HELP!!!!
This beautiful curly 2-yr-old girl is desperately in need of costly cataract surgery to restore her eyesight! She was surrendered to a humane society shelter by her owner, who was unable to care for her. The Humane Society would not adopt her out due to increasing blindness because of operable cataracts, and would not pay for the surgery to restore her sight; Second Chance Animal Rescue pulled her from the kill shelter and is trying to raise money for the surgery. Please take a look- we can give her 14 years of being able to see this wonderful world around her! Any donation in any amount will help; even $5. Thank for looking. (photos also below)

I just made a donation. She looks so much like my beloved Koji.
I know we can do this - let's make a difference.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Lets make this a Happy Holiday for Sophie.
I just dropped Murphy off this morning for his neuter (I didn't tell him ahead of time, it was a suprise) and he qualified for a lower neuter price due to his weight, he came in 1 pound under the next price bracket.. yeaaaa! Anyway, I had already designated a certain amount for it so I am going to send in a donation for her surgery. Its not much but every bit helps! I would hope that if I had that situation with my WONDERFUL doodles that someone would help me. I will keep my eye on the total, I hope they raise what they need.
What a great idea, Ken & Susan! Every little bit does indeed help! Linda from Second Chance Rescue is going to keep us updated. Thank you so much for your kind hearts!
Most of us have what we need and don't really need anything more for Christmas or the Holidays.
May I make a suggestion? I have asked my children to NOT buy me anything for Christmas, this year, and to donate to "Sophie's fund" instead. That will help her get her surgery and anything left over can go to help another puppy with his or her medical bills.
Also, if you forward her link and a request for a SMALL donation, to everyone on your personal mailing list and then ask THEM to forward it to all the animal lovers on THEIR personal email list, then we can get sophie new sight for the Holidays and help many other animals too!
Remember, if a MILLION people only donate ONE DOLLAR, it would make a tremendous difference!
Bless you for this, Gail. I don't know what else to say. I am so proud to be a part of this, and so grateful to all of you. (I am sitting here at work with tears in my eyes!)
I'm so in, and sending this to everyone I know. My beautiful doodle is sleeping under my desk at work, has the best world and can see.. Sophie deserves the same. Happy holidays Doodle Kisses!
