Recommended Chew Treats?

Does anyone have good and healthy suggestions for chew stick options?

I've tried a few types, but not sure if they are the healthiest..any recommendations? Thanks!!

Yes, there are members here who recommend and use that site.

Joni, you can also search our Food Group discussions for info on just about any food topic or product and you'll usually find something. I'm not sure if you knew that you can search discussions. I just did a search for bestbullysticks and got this:

Joni, I have purchased antlers from bestbullysticks.com, and I have been very satisfied with their product.

I just can't bring myself to buy a bullystick, though! *^_^*

To Karen:  I  have used bestbullysticks for Bailey since she was a puppy so I'm glad to hear they are safe!  But unfortunately I did not realize until I read this post that the Veggie Life Vitality Sweet Potato chews were made in CHINA!  They seemed like such a good safe product.  The bag reads: no fillers, no wheat, no added salt, no artificial colors, no byproducts, no wheat gluten, no added sugar, no artificial flavors.  The company's address is in Los Angeles.  But in the smallest print it says Made in China and I never even paid attention.  Bailey loved these chews and I have been giving her 1 almost every day for 1-2 years now!  Yikes!  I have always felt like I was being so careful in buying good quality food and treats.  I even add fresh food to her diet everyday.  So now my question is since she is not showing any signs of being sickened should I have her tested for any type of kidney damage these may have caused.  I'm not sure when the products became harmful.  Any advice you have would be appreciated. I would just stop using them and don't worry about it. Every dog who consumes products from China doesn't get sick; in fact, considering how many dogs get the junky treats from Walmart, etc., the percentage who do get kidney disease is probably very low.

If Bailey likes sweet potato chews, there are other brands to choose from, all made in North Amercia. Sam's Yams, for one, are excellent quality.

Thanks for your quick response Karen!  Yes, I have definitely stopped using them.  I'm so glad I saw this post about chews.  I have since signed up to receive alerts from that website you referenced. I did buy Sam's Yams at one point so I will go back them.  Thank you!

Have been away and just saw this post on bully sticks.  I usually by from bestbullysticks, but I was out and saw the ones at Costco.  Our store had Cadet Bull Sticks.  These say product of Brazil or Columbia and distributed by IMS Pet Industries.  Website: www.IMS.com,  Yes, will be taking these back.  Thanks or all the input.
