My Gracie, age 7 mos. a mini LD was at the vets yesterday for grooming and while there she had a bloody stool. THey took a sample and will analyze it. I didn't sleep all nite because I went online and read she could have anything from parasites to Parvo! Now, this is a dog who has never been to a dog park and has all of her shots etc. I didn't even take her to her first training class until she was 5 months old. I had a trainer come to the house so she wouldn't be exposed to anything. What does it all mean? I am so scared.

I wouldn't panic, and I wouldn't try to figure it out from the internet, either. As hard as it is, wait for the test results. It will likely not be anything nearly as bad as what you can imagine if you start looking on-line.
At 7 months old and having been vaccinated against parvo, it's extremely unlikely she would have that, so I'd at least chalk that one off your list.
Try to relax. When will you get the results?
When Sheba was a young pup she had a bloody stool. Took the stool sample to the vet and it turned out she had hookworm. It was taken care of with a very large pill! Duke never got it but the vet had me treat him too. I have no idea where she picked it up. That was the one and only time she had it. Chances are it may just be a parasite but it's good that they are checking the stool. Let us know what the results are and try to relax. : )
Thanks everyone for your calming words! My vet just called and said the stool sample was negative for parasites. She felt that it could have been stress caused when she had her grooming. At least today, she is eating and seems normal, thank god. They said if persists over weekend give her chicken and rice. Having raised three kids, I know all about that! BTW, she said forget the internet. It will scare you to death. It did! Whew! I love this website for us doodle maniacs.
Thanks for the update. My Duke had a very stressing incident and he did have a few bloody stools. Good luck and hopefully all goes well over the weekend!
Glad to hear it doesn't appear to be anything serious and the specimen was negative! Hope it was just a one time thing and you have a good weekend!
