I'm curious... Where does your doodle sleep? If you say in your bedroom, does he/she sleep on your bed? Or on the floor?
I love when my doodle sleeps with me. This is a new occurance but I do love it! He's a big boy about 70lbs. So when he's on the bed he takes up a lot of space. My problem is he's still young and a restless sleeper and is now starting to get on and off the bed multiple times a night which is really starting to interupt what little sleep I get. I don't want to have to put him back in the kitchen, where his ex-pen is but I'm now a night 4 of no sleep... Any suggestions?

My doodles do not sleep with me. In the past when they were younger, I would crate them, I am working on eliminating the crates all together at this point. It has been about 8 months since I have crated them at night. It took about a month or so for them to get use to being loose at night. We would all snuggle and watch TV, when it came time for me to go to bed, I would let them out for the last time. Give each doodle a cookie, I would say good night and go to bed. The first night I did this, both doodles were in my bed within a half hour - LOL. I knew I needed to have "my" space and there were no doodles allowed in the bedroom since I have a white carpet that is very expensive. Anyway...... I ended up going to bed and just shutting my bedroom door. At first I would hear Oliver outside my door, he would sleep there for a while then get up and move. Most of the time when I get up in the morning both doodles are on the couch sleeping. But it took a good month for them to get use to the new routine.... give it some time, this is new to him.
An update...
We bought a rug to put on the floor at the bottom of the bed so now if he gets up in the middle of the night it's not as noticable..the funny thing is he's so happy to be with us. at around 9:30 - 10 o'clock he get very antsy and watches for any movement we might make for the stairs... Then he gets up and flies to the first landing of the staris and wags his tail against the wall obviously saying "is it time yet is it time?!?! And he's just so happy that we are leting him up with us but really how can you say no to this face....
