Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi everyone. I rescued Winston about a year ago, and we were told he was either a goldendoodle or a labradoodle. Is it possible to tell what type of doodle he is by looking at his physical appearance? What type of doodle do you think he is? Is he even a doodle (some people think he is a wheaten terrier)?
Here's some information that may help:
1. He is ultra cream with apricot parti spots.
2. His fur is a mixture of straight, wavy, and curly.
3. He sheds a little.
4. He gets strong body odor within a week of being bathed.
5. He is 40 pounds, full grown.
6. He has a stocky, square appearance, with a flat and wide head.
7. He has dark brown eyes (with crazy long apricot lashes) and a rose colored nose.
8. He is a goof ball and loves to snuggle with cats.
After looking online at hundreds of pictures, I feel that he could either be an Australian Labradoodle or a English-type Goldendoodle, based on the stockiness of his body.
I've attached a few photos, which you can also find in my photo gallery in my profile. Thank you!

We have goldendoodles here in all colors, including black. Blacks and reds are very common in Goldendoodles, as are all shades of gold and apricot. I also don't think you can generalize about labradoodles coats being coarser than goldendoodles...it would depend on the generation. And the ALDs faces are not long at all.
Zoey is quite a cutey!
Does anyone know if labradoodles can have the mixed fur type that Winston has?
Well, he's a total cutie! I am flattered that you think Winston and Finn look alike. :) Winston also gets a lot of attention in public! Sometimes it overstimulates him. Guess that's unavoidable for all doodle owners!
awwwww...tooo cute! I love his wavy fur. He's really a teddy bear.
